Well, by now the person people are voting for is probably already established, but it's never too late.

Local elections? Website based on the candidates. Search for them. Don't ask me.

you know, trying to research the dudes running for any sort of local judge position is FUCKING DIFFICULT. i mean, half of them have NO info about them online, and the other half have info that is just them praising themselves (of course theyre going to mention the positive things about themselves...)
when im old enough to vote how the fuck am i supposed to make an informed decision regarding these guys? |

Well, the internet may be a mess of information but it might not be the best place to search for info on your candidates yet.

By keeping up with it from the start, instead of jumping in at the last second. Paying attention to the issues. Paying attention to the opinions of people around you (generally that's the only reliable way to collect information on a local candidate). |

even in previous years where i was paying attention from the very start, its nearly impossible to find info on some of these local guys. hell even everybody ive aksed either says "i dont vote for those offices cause i dont know where the fuck im supposed to find info on them" or "when it comes to those positions i just vote for the party of my choice" |

Yeah, it's really shitty that finding information on local elections is hard. The most you see about candidates are stupid signs (and signs only make me not want to vote for them)

the funny thing is that these local politicians can have the biggest influence on your life, yet its so hard to find out which ones are good and which ones arent. |

and i REFUSE to EVER vote for someone based off of political party. it violates my moral code, plus i dislike the entire idea of political parties in the first place.

I do like the signs that people put out that have information on issues that are affecting the community. It gives you something to look into, then find out where the candidate stands on that. Problem is, I only find things like that out from local television stations and only from their commercials, which are usually praising themselves for past accomplishments and usually have nothing to do with the election. |

Third parties aren't too bad to vote based on. However the main two are so large and diverse that you're not going to have a clue what an individual's stance on things are based on that. But that's just the issues, you're not going to have any clue about a person's history from the party they're in either, so it's important to find out information on candidates.
Never seen signs like that. Only signs around here are VOTE X and they all piss me off.

I like to vote third party because it circumvents the largely bipartisan system.

i feel like third party candidates are less likely to be as corrupt anyway. also a lot of times i find myself agreeing with a third party over republican or democrat. |
